This is not a joke. A sequel to The Last Dragon<\/a> is being made and we’ve got the teaser trailers to prove it! It will be an animated series called, Rise of The Last Dragon (ROTLD)<\/strong>. It continues right where the original 1985 cult classic left-off giving us the sequel we could have <\/a>and should have got back in the 80s \/ early 90s. So far, Glen Eaton<\/a> has committed to reprising his role as Johnny Yu<\/a> with the goal to get as many of the original cast back as possible. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Note: the title was in place years before Star Wars Episode 9: ‘The Rise of Skywalker’ was announced. With ‘The Last Jedi’ and now ‘Rise of’ I’m thinking perhaps someone at Lucasfilm or Disney is a fan of The Last Dragon? \ud83d\ude09 <\/p>\n\n\n\n

An indie production studio called WIARLAWD<\/a> productions, lead by Daeshaunn “DAETRIX” Delong<\/a> and Fabienne Delong <\/a>is behind the project. Don’t let the “indie” part make you think that this is going to be low budget. The quality of the teasers speaks for themselves. (see more below)<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The aim right now is to create a “Fanimated” pilot episode to demonstrate the production value and to rally fan support in an effort to help greenlight the full series. It will be a collective effort by fans for fans. Fans are encouraged to be a part of the project by participating in the making of episode 1. With zero funding to date, Daetrix and Fabienne have invested their own time and resources; any participation by fans, artists, actors, and animators who want to help bring this series to life will be voluntary. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
