The Limited Edition 4K Ultra HD Steelbook of “The Last Dragon” was released, along with a new modern trailer, on September 19th, 2023 and in less than a week it is already #1 in sales!
Long-Awaited High-Quality Edition Tops HD Format Charts
As reported by NewsPlayMedia for the week of September 23, 2023, Berry Gordy’s The Last Dragon topped sales of HD Format Blu-rays over notable titles such as Spider-Man Across The Spiderverse, The Exorcist, Past Lives, Joy Ride, John Wick 4, and The Super Mario Bros. Movie.
The 4K ULTRA HD DISC includes fresh commentary provided by comedian Amber Ruffin and author Lacey Lamar, offering their unique perspectives on the film. The disc also features all-new Dolby Atmos audio, along with 5.1 and 2-channel surround sound. The film itself has been scanned from the original camera negative and presented in stunning 4K resolution with Dolby Vision, a visual enhancement approved by director Michael Schultz.
In addition to the 4K disc, the package also includes a Blu-ray containing previously released content. This includes director Michael Schultz’s commentary from the Original DVD release, the “Return of the Dragon” featurette from the 30th Anniversary Blu-Ray, and the original theatrical trailer.
