A neon soaked, blaxsploitation, kung-fu musical with karate chops as strong as it’s comedy. The Last Dragon is undeniable insanity specifically cultivated for your eyeballs confectionery consumption. The jokes will zing right through you as the punches smash your bones leaving your head only to bob to the rhythm of the night while your brain melts to mush as you witness this ultra explosion of totally 80’s wildness.

I got to see Taimak at the 30th anniversary showing in Houston last night. I took my seven and a 1/2 year old son with me – we had a great time.
I was about 12 when the film came out at the theater, and my parents would never take me. But, I watched the film on HBO probably 75-100 times over the 80s when it was on. So, finally getting to see it on the big screen was really cool. The crowd had a great time, finishing some lines, and laughing quite a bit at certain scenes with Sho Nuff.
Taimak also was introduced before the film started – and came and did a Q&A session after it was over. He was very polite and entertaining. Then, he signed autographs and took photos out in the lobby. My son and I had a nice time. I had brought 2 posters with me to sign, and I also bought 1 photo there. Taimak took his time to speak with everyone, and even talked with my son a bit too. At the end, I had an issue with my cell phone flash, so he signed another item for someone else, and then came back and took a photo with my son and I. He was very polite.
I really enjoyed the whole experience – especially getting to meet someone from one of my favorite childhood movies. I am really glad he was willing to travel a bit outside of his area to do these special screenings!
