When I first saw this modern fan made version of The Last Dragon trailer it practically brought a tear to my eye. It is the greatest thing I’ve seen since the 1985 original. It made me think about the original trailer and how much it made me want to watch the movie when I was a kid. I’ve included both versions for comparison. Which do you like more?
The Last Dragon Fan Made Modern Movie Trailer
This trailer was made by TwistedKingdom74. He makes modern trailers for classic 70s & 80s movies. Thanks to Last Dragon fan J-Diezel, who requested it, The Last Dragon got the TwistedKingdom treatment. The new version doesn’t have a new cast, no new special effects, just re-edited scenes from the movie, new background music and it’s in much better quality. I love how the whole thing is set to Leroy’s master describing how to get to the final level and achieve the Glow.

I can vividly remember watching this original trailer as a 9 year old. I remember seeing Bruce Leroy do the slow motion move after he got the glow and thinking it was the coolest thing I had ever seen. I couldn’t wait to see the movie; I did and some 29 years later here we are! What I didn’t remember was the awesome voice-over: Critics compared it to “Raiders of the Lost Ark”?
